When I design a Collection of Jewelry I start by designing my "Statement" pieces, which inspire the whole collection. I then interpret from those piece a simpler design. The Tundra Waves Necklace/Pendant is the simpler interpretation of the Tundra Waves Statement Necklace. Not that it doesn't make a statement all its own! Where to begin with this stunning necklace? Every "wave" of this necklace has been meticulously planned, hand formed and hand hammered in 1sterling silver wire. Every pearl and gemstone bead that has been wired to the "waves" has been placed with precision and painstakingly hand wrapped with fine gauge sterling silver wire. The inspiration and focal stones of this collection are simply breathtaking Tuxedo Agate-an amazing gemstone . The bold color and banding variations in the focal stone I used in the necklace is also breathtaking; I chose to enhance and complement these colors with freshwater pearls in shades of creams and browns. Accented with black spinel and smoky quartz as well as champagne/gray natural diamonds. The sparkling faceted gemstone dangle is high quality black spinel.
